How much does it costs?

  A Computer Guy Online Backup starts as low as $2.50/month for 500MB. Most users will more than likely need more than 500MB's to backup all of their important files. Pricing plans increase as data requirements grow but a user's cost per gigabyte decreases with larger data plans. Users can also save money by paying annually instead of monthly.

I have a local backup solution - why should I consider online backup?

  Local backup solutions are fine in certain situations but unless you regularly take a copy of your data offsite you are very likely to still lose everything in the event of a fire or other catstrophe that destroyes your server. How do I know what needs to get backed up?

  Any file, in which the loss of would cause the data owner personal or business suffering should be marked for backup.

How do I add folders and files to the list of backed up data?

  A Computer Guy Backup Online offers both a wizard and advanced option for backing up data. The wizard can get set to backup your documents, your Internet favorites, items on your desktop, and also Outlook and Windows Mail files. Clicking the Advanced button opens a directory tree showing every local and network drive attached to your PC. Click the + symbol next to each drive to drill down to the specific files and/or folders that need to be added to the backup.

How do I gain access to my files if I'm away from my PC?

  From any PC with Internet access login to your A Computer Guy Backup Online account. Once logged in you can view a list of all files that have been backed up. Click the file explorer button and download to the PC you are currently on.

What happens to my file if I delete the local copy from my PC?

  Nothing, unlike other backup services if a file gets deleted off the local PC it does NOT get removed from the online backup. Never worry about accidentally deleting a file again.

How often can I set my backup to run?

  Backups can be scheduled to run monthly, weekly, daily (the most common option), or even hourly. We do also afford the ability to have a file automatically uploaded to our servers everytime it changes.

How do I sign up?

  Currently we do not support an automatic sign up process. If you are interested in signing up for A Computer Guy Backup Online please email backupadmin@acomputerguy.net with your contact information. We will get your account setup and email you back the information to get you started within one business day. Alternatively you may contact our office (770) 946-4044 during normal business hours and we can get your account created also.
